Cassville, Wisconsin | Mississippi River Towns
Cassville, Wisconsin may be a small village, but the community is vibrant with activity.
Cassville, located on the Mississippi River banks and along Wisconsin's Great River Road, a National Scenic Byway, offers visitors
a unique Wisconsin travel opportunity as you view Wisconsin's agricultural and historical past at Stonefield State Historic Site.
Bird watching is common in many nature areas along the Mississippi River including Nelson Dewey State Park and along the river
in Cassville's Riverside Park. The Cassville Car Ferry connects two National Scenic Byways; the Great River Road and the Iowa Great River Road.
The ferry served the early settlement as far back as 1836 and it continues today, making the same trip back and forth across the mighty Mississippi. It is the oldest operating car ferry in the state of Wisconsin.
